Volunteer

Sorry for being inactive! So much to do, so little time. So instead of trying to post every day, I'll try for once a week, or just whenever I can. No need to put on the extra pressure. Anyhow, on with today's post!
Volunteering! There's nothing like a get together with people from your community to do some awesome work. Doing things like community service and helping clean up around the area or even gardening is great. Well, the reason I made volunteering this weeks post is because earlier today, I signed up to volunteer at the local community theater. As an art student, I'll be able to get in a lot of experience helping around, with things such as prop preparations, costume design and much more! I was asked to help usher this weekend for a play; I can't wait! It'll be a fun first time. On my way home afterwards, as I was driving passed the church, the message board read, "Volunteers are wingless angels," and it's a great feeling.
Life will give you opportunities to do what it is you want to do in life. When those opportunities come knocking on your door or if you're inspired to do something, answer the door, do something about that idea, cause you never know if that one opportunity will lead you to another door for you to enter.

This is Jack-Jack saying, until next time... Go get'em!!

  1. Volunteering is a very good way to learn and get connected, uhuh. But it can be intimidating too, as it is a commitment that shouldn't be made too lightly, but often is. Many a volunteer joins but ends up being a no-show, and after not showing up once, even if they want to help out still, they are often too nervous to show up after having been a no-show already.

  2. True, although I wouldn't say many, but as much as a couple or a few who don't show up due to nervousness. There're other various reasons why people don't show after making the commitment, like they suddenly changed their minds and want to do something else, or something comes up that wont allow them to participate.
